Recorded using Sharp IM-DR420H(S) minidisc and Sony mic LP4 mode -> via analog to Sony CDR RCDW100 -> via EAC to wav -> via Flac Frontend to FLAC.
An intimate warm-up show ahead of European festival appearances in the summer of 2007, James returned to the Hoxton Bar and Grill in East London, close to their studios and scene of their first comeback show in March 2007 for a set mixed with hits, less well known tracks and three new songs, two of which (Not So Strong and Traffic) controversially failed to make their superb 2008 album Hey Ma.

This is probably the earliest James live recording in circulation, with original guitarist Paul Gilbertson in the band and Larry Gott still performing the job as their guitar teacher (and possibly recording this gig). This show is a support slot for New Order, with whom the band had become friendly in Liverpool. It features James at their most wild and frantic. It also features the unreleased Discipline, We're On Fire and A Lovely Day For Life (which may, or not, be the end section of Vulture) and the live classic, but never studio released, Stutter that James resurrected on their recent December 2008 tour.

The second of two hometown shows from James' recent UK tour. The set features a smattering of tracks from their excellent 2008 comeback album Hey Ma, which has been criminally excluded from most 2008 best of lists, some of their greatest hits and a few gems from their back catalogue.
